January 14, 2003: GeoPhoenix, Inc. today announced that its user-friendly Zoomspace^TM interface has been implemented as the demo application on Sony's new CLIÉ™ handheld PEG-NZ90 PDA, which Sony unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The GeoPhoenix Zoomspace interface can also be found as the demo application on the Sony CLIÉ™ NX-series PDAs that are currently available in the market worldwide.

Zoomspace is a proprietary technology that enables computer users to easily navigate any content by panning across pages and zooming to clearly view information of interest. The technology is applicable to any computing platform, but is particularly effective in handheld devices where limited screen size can be a detriment to easy viewing of content. Zoomspace essentially enlarges the screen size by allowing users to quickly pan and zoom to areas of interest. The user experience is analogous to a bird flying above an area of land and then diving toward the ground, narrowing and enlarging a specific viewing area below.

The new Sony CLIÉ™ handheld NZ-series PDA comes pre-installed with a demonstration application using Zoomspace.

Zoominator is targeted at operators, content providers and individuals, and allows them to assemble images, text and other content into Zoomspaces. This provides for visual access to large data sets on small screens and easy navigation.

GeoPhoenix Zoomspaces are platform independent and can work seamlessly with a variety of operating systems.
